Manufactured circa 1916. Blued octagon barrel in desirable .38-55 chambering cut back to approximately 20 - 1/2". Dovetail blade front sight and Marbles buckhorn rear. Fitted with a half length magazine tube. Standard plain walnut stock with steel nose cap and crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Barrel retains the vast majority of its factory blue with mild wear and scattered marks. Significant traces of blue retained on the frame, the balance fading to brown patina. Forend is very good with some impressions. Stock fits shy to the tang with cleaned surfaces and mild impressions. Bore is fine and exhibits crisp rifling. Fine mechanics.
