Introduced in 1878 and available until 1912, all frames were produced prior to 1899. This example is finished in polished blue with 6 - 1/2" ribbed barrel, late 1-line address, tall Patridge front sight, 6-shot fluted cylinder, and 2-piece smooth ivory grips inset with dished brass S&W medallions. CONDITION: Excellent as very professionally restored. Nearly all of the expertly reapplied blued finish is retained throughout with a turn line and some scratching present on the frame. Hammer and trigger guard retain strong case colors. Trigger likewise retains nearly all of its nitre blue. Grips exhibit a very attractive, mellow cream patina. Very fine mirror bore. Crisp mechanics.
