Lot consists of: (A) Dulacq, Joseph, Theorie nouvelle sur le Mecanisme de l'Artillerie, Paris, Jombert, 1741. 10" - 8 - 1/4". Leather wrapped board covers. Leather wrap is dry and peeling exposing the board but the spine remains intact. Book appears complete, however, some pages are separated and contained within the covers. The pages exhibit soiling, staining, tarnishing, and other blemishes typical of old texts. There are foldouts present. Although tattered, the book remains mostly intact with legible writing and clear images. CONDITION: Fair. (B) Baker, Ezekial, Remarks on Rifle Guns, printed by Joseph Mallett, London, 1829. Ezekial Baker was the inventor of the Baker rifle, and had 60 years of gunmaking to his credit, as well as the fact that his rifle was issued to the British Army. Baker writes about the early history of rifling, percussion locks, and casting lead balls for muskets and rifles. He also advises the reader on how to aim and use his rifle. 8 - 1/2" x 5 - 1/2". Marbled covers with leather spine that exhibits gold inlaid title. Appears complete with all pages. Nice color illustrations. Pages exhibit scattered light blemishes that are typical of old paper. All text is legible. CONDITION: Good.
