AGS CERTIFIED #11186. DSP. A bright and glossy example of this scarce Circa 1930's Porcelain Service Station Sign from Veltex Gasoline & Motor Oils. Sign shows Veltex script as well as large "V" graphic throughout both sides with unique orange and blue colors. CONDITION: Side 1 retains excellent color and shine throughout the field. There are a few porcelain chips in the outer field, the worst of which is directly above the "E" in "VELTEX." The outer edges and mounting holes on this sign remain nice and show only light isolated areas of porcelain chipping and wear (Score 90). Side 2 remains similarly clean, with one notable chip in the field below the letter "E." There also appears to be a factory blemish in the gloss of the letter "L." The outer edges show porcelain loss, chipping, and oxidation (Score 88). A clean and well displaying example.
