AGS CERTIFIED #11188. DSP. Maker Marked "Veribrite Signs. Chicago." An exceptionally clean and desirable example of this double sided porcelain sign from Marathon Products featuring the iconic runner graphic with stunning color and gloss. CONDITION: Side 1 retains a clean field with only one tiny chip near the runner's back foot. There is one half-dollar sized chip in the top center of the sign near the runner's hand. The outer edges of the sign show some scattered porcelain chips and wear, but are nicely concealed by the steel hanging ring (Score 89). Side 2 also retains nice gloss, but shows more porcelain chipping and some areas of discoloration to the gloss. There three larger porcelain chips at the top of the sign, as well as, some dulling to the gloss in the Marathon lettering. The outer edges of the sign are clean, with the main damage being a porcelain chip and wear at the very bottom center of the outer edge (Score 86). This sign comes with a nicely made steel ring painted black to match the sign. A clean and well-displaying example.
