Manufactured 1934. Pre-war model .22 target rifle with heavy round barrel, globe front sight, rear sight removed, base for a Lyman 48 sight with stem inside case, plain pistol grip walnut stock, single barrel band, swivels, finely checkered steel butt plate. Sports a Lyman 10x Targetspot 3/4" tube scope mounted to barrel. The carry case with accessories belonged to Ohio shooter Owen Davis. Included are several photographs of him, 1937 dated club membership cards, suggestions for mounting a Lyman 5A scope, two original Hoppe's flyers, original Lyman 10x scope flyer, old Hoppes bottle and patches, targets, turn screws, Marbles rod. CONDITION. Excellent. Stock has period leather cheek pad. Retains majority of original blue with some light age freckling. Wood is excellent. Bore is bright. Scope has clear standard crosshair reticle. This is like he shot it in 1937 and put it in the closet.
