Brass bead front sight with removable sight hood on thin sleeved on base, quarter rib brass line express rear sight with one standing leaf (unmarked, for 65 yards) and two folding leaves for 150 and 250 yards. Area behind rear sight with "CALIBER .375 H&H FOR BIG GAME". Barrel signed "John Rigby and Co. 13 - 19 Pensbury Place, London, SW8" with appropriate British nitro proofing on right side of shank, and sling swivel on sleeved on base. Case colored reinforcement bolt. Set up for swing-off scope mounts, currently mounted with a Swarovski Z8i 1.7-13.3x42mm scope with illuminated duplex reticle that has center dot and an illuminated circle. 3 position flag safety. Case colored pistol grip case with trap and Rigby logo gold inlaid, sling swivel along toe line. Mounted with a Rigby branded leather sling to sling swivels. Nicely figured and lightly fiddlebacked Turkish walnut stock, ending in a black line spacer with orange recoil pad. In Rigby cardboard cover and case with appropriate paperwork, including manual and test target showing 65 yard iron sights for 300 grain Hornady. CONDITION: Excellent, showing just a couple minor marks from handling and operation, mostly from shop wear. Barrel and receiver retain virtually all of their black with a few very minor marks. Extractor fire bluing has a little silvering on high edge, likely from action being cycled. Wood is very good, again with a few very minor marks from handling. Checkering is sharp. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is excellent with crisp rifling. Bolt face is excellent; it is distinctly possible that this rifle is test fired only. Glass is clear and throws smoothly. Comes in a black Rigby branded case. Replacement value on a rifle of this quality from Rigby today would be in the $15,000 range, before counting glass.
