Patented in 1877, this revolver hides in plain sight concealed as a functional wallet. The "FRANKENAU'S PATENT" marked body is constructed of nickel plated brass with leather covers. One side opens to an accordion coin purse. The other side holds a money clip, as well as petite nickel finished double action pinfire revolver proofed crown over "Z". Revolver can be fired with the purse closed via a folding trigger, which descends when the user opens the muzzle cover. CONDITION: Fine. Body retains the vast majority of its plating, the underside largely worn to brass. Revolver likewise retains most of its nickel with some older oxidation spots. Leather covers are intact but show wear with some separation along the edges. Action does not cycle correctly, although the folding trigger mechanism functions as it should. A very rare and interesting concealed 19th-century pistol.
