Manufactured in 1888. Fitted with a blued No. 3 weight octagon barrel with wind gauge spirit level front sight and filled-in rear sight dovetail. Tang mounted with a mid-range aperture rear sight. Case hardened high wall receiver with single set trigger. Ebony inlaid Schnabel tip splinter forend and plain walnut stock with brass Swiss buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrel retains approximately 90% factory blue with silvering along the high edges and other mild cleaned oxidation marks. Generous dark case colors present on the receiver with some areas starting to fade. Lever retains portions of case colors on the sides, the working surfaces largely faded to patina. Stocks appear cleaned with some scattered marks and a 5 - 3/4" split running above the toe line. Very fine bright bore with sharp, well defined rifling throughout. Mechanics are fine, including set trigger.
