Manufactured in 1922-1934 by Ithaca Gun Company of Ithaca, New York as a "home, office, and bank protector, far superior to a revolver or pistol because it gives a good wide pattern which allows even a poor gun pointer to score hits". Barrels are stamped with "(arrow) SMOKELESS POWDER STEEL (arrow) / MADE IN U.S.A.". Frame and barrel serial numbers match. Factory engraved in classic Ithaca fashion with 8 pointed stars and Pointers on each side of frame with accenting wrigglework on barrels near chambers. Frame is stamped "AUTO & BURGLAR GUN / ITHACA GUN COMPANY" on each side beneath Pointer scenes. Checkered wood pistol grip and forearm. CONDITION: Excellent overall, with barrels and frame retaining virtually all of their factory finishes with scattered light handling marks. Grip has a large pinned reinforcement repair down the center with light sanding and refinishing to forearm and grip to make them match. Mechanically excellent, with extractors working properly. Bores are bright and smooth. An attractive example. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 CLASSIFIED AS "ANY OTHER WEAPON".
