Manufactured circa 1876 with low "503" serial number. Finished in beautiful polished blue with nitre blue small parts. Classic ribbed barrel, German silver half moon front sight, spur trigger, and 2-piece smooth oil-finished walnut grips. Gun is accompanied by a hardwood display case with an ammunition block containing 38 rounds of early .38 ammunition. CONDITION: Excellent. Gun retains nearly all of its lustrous factory blue with a turn line, faint edgewear, and a few cleaned oxidation spots. Screws retain strong nitre blue. Hammer likewise displays most of its still bright case colors. Grips have only a few light handling marks, the right panel numbered to match on the inside. Excellent bore and mechanics. Case and liner have some expected wear, but display well. Ammunition has some oxidation, a few rounds with depressed primers.
