A very nice J. Brennan & Sons Mediterranean Dirk with a 9 - 3/8" blade marked "J. BRENNAN & SONS" on spine. Blade remains bright with excellent finish. Beautiful silver engraved throat and pommel with flowered cap flank the attractive mammoth fluted grip. Numbered "No 47" on throat. Overall length measures 14 - 1/8". Complete with its leather scabbard that features silver mounts that are nicely engraved to match the knife fittings. Round belt stud on upper mount with ball finiale on drag. Mounts remain tight with nice intact leather. J. Brennan & Sons is also known for their craftsmanship of flintlock rifles and this knife reflects the quality of their work. This blade would compliment a display with one of their rifles, which would tie the gun and knife world together. CONDITION: Very good.
