Manufactured in 1887, likely in the first few days of production, serial numbered "63". The blued barrel is fitted with an aftermarket solid rib and single bead front sight. Standard length magazine tube affixed by the early style attachment point. Receiver bears distinctive script WRACO logos on each side. 2-piece walnut forend with carved "L.S." initials on the left. Plain, semi-pistol grip walnut stock with scarce early nonslip steel shotgun butt plate. Gun is accompanied by a pair of 1922 and 1923 California hunting licenses of a Lester Sorocca, identified by the consignor as a previous owner of this shotgun. CONDITION: Fair. Gun displays an overall mottled gray patina with areas of added finish and evidence of cleaned, older oxidation. Top of bolt displays strong case colors, the sides fading. Lever likewise has a few flashes of bight case colors, the balance a silvery patina. Stocks have a dry, aged appearance with heavy handling marks and abrasions throughout, as well a sliver off loss on the left side of the forend. Bore shows evidence of black power usage. Fine mechanics.
