DST. Maker marked "1940 V.B. Co." A c. 1940s "Thirsty? Just Whistle / Morning - Noon Night" double-sided tin sign. CONDITION: Side one has fair color, with what appears to be a clear coat applied to the entire face of the piece. The sign has multiple surface scratches and deeper scratches with paint loss and surface staining. The outer edge of the piece also shows areas of paint loss. (7.9). Side two has fair color with bubbling of the paint running through the orange background behind the "Whistle" lettering. The sign has multiple areas of crazing, paint loss and surface staining around the outer edge. (7.75). This sign has been TAC authenticated.
