SST/SST. A collection of two Hires Root Beer painted metal thermometer signs. CONDITION: (A) The sign has good color with significant surface scratches and scratching with complete paint loss towards the label of the bottle. The hanging holes have areas of paint loss, as well as minor paint loss around the outer edges. The sign has the thermometer bulb, but it is not reading accurately. (7.9). (B) The "Drink Hires Root Beer" has good color throughout with minor areas of surface staining, as well as surface scratching and paint loss along the outer field. The outer edges of the thermometer show minor areas of surface staining. The piece retains the original wood cradle and working thermometer bulb. (7.9).
