Maker marked "Donaldson Bros. N.Y." A c. 1900s Hires Root Beer embossed cardstock string hanger sign with outstanding early bottle graphic. CONDITION: The sign has fair color throughout with minor areas of surface staining in the inner and outer field. The outer edges of the sign show more significant surface staining and a minor bend to the cardstock in the bottom right-hand corner. The piece does have the original string holder. There is some very minor water staining at the base.
