Springfield Model 1880 hunting knife. Standard configuration with single edged spearpoint blade, a brass guard, wood handle, and is complete with its leather scabbard with brass hook. The brass guard is stamped "SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY" on the obverse and "1275" on the reverse. The scabbard is marked “WATERVILET / ARSENAL” on the brass belt hook and leather. Blade remains bright with scattered light blemishes. The walnut handle is clean but displays handling wear. Scabbard displays scattered scuffs and scratches. Brass components exhibit a pleasing patina. CONDITION: Good.
