Manufactured in 1915. The classic American .30-30 carbine. Early features include the post front sight, folding ladder rear sight, saddle ring and stud, non fluted comb, and long forend. Features walnut stocks, blue finish, steel carbine buttplate, full length magazine, and twin barrel bands. CONDITION: Excellent. The barrel and tube retain nearly all their factory blue finish. The rear band shows only high edge wear. The front band retains blue on the sides with patina balance. The loading gate retains most of its bright blue. The blued bolt shows some age freckling. All the screws are true and retain much blue. The barrel legends are crisp. The blued lever is turning patina while the base retains majority of blue. The upper tang is patina. The wood is excellent, proud to metal, with scattered impressions. The frame retains flashes of blue but has basically flaked to a smooth patina which was a result of the heat treating and not wear. Action is crisp and carbine has a well defined bore.
