Lot consists of: (A) M1892 Type 1 Maestranza de Manila .38 caliber revolver holster. The holster has the impressed “US” designation, while the flap is impressed “Maestranza de Manila” (Manila Ordnance Depot), who had a contract with the US Government for making and restoring military holsters for the Colt SAA. Belt loop is secured by 3 brass rivets and the securing strap is closed by a brass finial. Missing plug. The holster remains supple with scattered creases and light crazing on flap. Scattered dark spots throughout. A similar example is photographed on page 230 of US Military Holsters and Related Accoutrements. CONDITION: Good. (B) Maestranza de Manila "Cowboy Style" Mexican loop holster for a .38 caliber revolver. Brown leather construction and stamped "Maestranza de Manila". on front. The holster remains supple with scattered light crazing and other minor blemishes. A similar example is photographed on page 232 of US Military Holsters and Related Accoutrements. CONDITION: Very good.
