Manufactured under contract from 1817 into the 1840s, this example with a reconverted Henry Derringer, Philadelphia lock dated 1841. Tang also dated 1841 with "US", "JH" and sunken intaglio "P" markings. Blade front sight and v-notch rear. Full length walnut stock with iron patch box and standard 3-band mounts. CONDITION: Very Good. Metal has a mottle brown patina with cleaned pinprick oxidation spots. Wood is partially cleaned with a repaired split ahead of the lock.
