Manufactured 1896. Early flat side frame, second year production. Chambered in .30-40 Krag with a 23" barrel, standard blue finish, dovetail front sight on base, Winchester semi-buckhorn rear sight, and walnut stock with rifle butt plate. Forearm has ebony tip; further mounted with sling eyes and a German silver oval at base of stock. CONDITION: Metal retains nearly all of the reapplied blue finish with minor handling. Stocks are excellent as refinished with scattered impressions. Bore is bright. Barrel was shortened and front sight reset.
