Manufactured 1856. All matching numbers to include barrel, lever, cylinder, frame, back strap, trigger guard and wedge. The roll die Naval battle scene is about 70% visible. The octagon barrel has a strong Colt New York barrel address. Left side of frame has the Colts Patent legend. The straps are brass. Sports the one piece walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good. Retains no real original finish but is a very smooth brown homogenous patina. Grips are shy to metal with no commercial finish remaining. The action is tight. The bore has overall abrasions but rifling is visible. The brass does not look like it has ever been polished. This gun has great eye appeal.
