Built in 2:1 scale by Ben Lorenz Associates in 1978 with "066" serial number, this cutaway model recreates the M16 assault rifle for classroom demonstration purposes. Constructed of matte black finished aluminum with cutaways revealing internal components. Moving parts, many of which are brightly colored to aid in demonstration. Handguard and stock are black polymer. Right side of stock retains its original "PM TRADE / DARCOM" sticker. This example is housed in its original green painted transit chest with accessories including the stand, bipod, magazine, and 28 aluminum dummy rounds. A Naval Training Center manual is also included. CONDITION: Very good overall. Trainer has some expected moderate wear and handling marks, retaining the vast majority of its original finishes. Case likewise retains most of its original paint. A fantastic and hard to find set, the perfect addition to any man cave or collection room.
