C. 1950s. The box shows Popeye sitting on a spinach can as Sweet Pea watches, marked "King Features Syndicate." Popeye is wearing a lithographed navy suit. Popeye waves with his right arm and hand, as well as turns his head while he is smoking lighted pipe. Extremely difficult to find in this kind of condition with the original box. It has the original instruction sheet and original oil bottle, which we have never seen before. The lithograph is in beautiful colors with very little wear. From the Mark Kuster Collection.
