Blued barrel with fixed hooded front sight and adjustable rear elevation sight. Receiver and barrel bands are gold plated. Gun is factory roll marked on both sides with a decorative border of Indian designs. The right side depicts a standing Indian in an oval, and the left side shows a covered wagon and early settlers along with the words, "TRAIL OF TEARS 1839" and a saddle ring. The barrel is also marked" CHEROKEE CARBINE". Smooth walnut buttstock and forend medallion on buttstock depicts a Cherokee warrior and a covered wagon trail. Complete with picture box numbered to gun. CONDITION: Shows light handling marks but appears to be unfired, bore is shiny with crisp rifling. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
