Manufactured circa Fall 1944 in Winchester's 2nd production block. Barrel marked with "W" and Winchester Proof markings. Early front sight and "I.R. CO." adjustable rear. Rebuilt internals with flip safety and M2 magazine catch. Most parts remain Winchester. Flat bolt. "W" marked low wood stock with Ordnance wheel cartouche as well as a later added upside-down "W.R.A. / G.H.D." inspection. A rebuild marking also present on the left side. Unmarked 2 rivet top wood retained by a later Winchester "C" marked bayonet lug barrel band. Complete with green woven sling. CONDITION: Very good. Carbine retains nearly all of its parkerized finish with only light wear and a few oxidation spots. Stocks are fine with some light handling. Good bore with some abrasions. ME of 3. Fine mechanics.
