Manufactured in 1891. The octagon barrel appears rechambered as is restamped "45-70 WCF" at the breech. Blade front sight and semi buckhorn rear. Stocked in plain walnut with a crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Good. Barrel and magazine tube blue have faded to a plum brown gray patina with some high edge wear. Receiver displays a silvery freckled patina. Stocks have an age darkened appearance with scattered impressions as well as an unfilled sling eye hole on the toeline. Crisp, bright bore. Action cycles but binds somewhat. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection
