Manufactured in late 1892. Classic configuration with blued octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, sporting sights, case hardened solid frame, and 2-piece walnut stocks with crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very good. Significant portions of faded blue are retained on the barrel and magazine tube, especially in the protected areas, the balance fading to plum patina with some high edge wear. Receiver has turned the characteristic mottled silvery patina, a few traces of case hardened patterning visible on the lever. Stocks show wear with numerous scuffs, scrapes, and dings but remain solid. Very fine bore as sleeved. Crisp mechanics. PROVENANCE: Jim Cyr Collection.
