The Colonial Knife Company was formed in 1926 in Providence, Rhode Island. This is a collection of eight colorful Fatjacks. Handles are swirled or solid colorful plastic. They measure 4 1/8" closed and 7" open. Five of the blades are marked Shur-snap, two are Pronto and the blue knife is not marked. All have lanyard rings. CONDITION: Very Good-Excellent. Five work fine, one does not lock in place and one does not snap open. All but one of the blades show some cleaning or light sharpening. All handles are free of chips or cracks. The two purple examples are quite striking. PROVENANCE: From a single consignor life long collection. A great many of these knives were obtained from Mark Erikson and many are pictured in his book "Antique American Switchblades" published in 2004.
