A decent example of a Civil War era Grimsley saddle. Saddle has a quilted seat in decent condition with stitching holding together. Brass pommel and cantle furniture has a golden mellow patina. Side bar leather is lifting a bit but is still in good condition with the foot loops. The longer black leather skirts are in good used condition with straps and iron stirrups present. The belly / girth straps are missing. Leather is mostly supple with areas where the leather has shunk and some separation to the front edge from the tree. CONDITION: Very good.
