DSP. This C. 1930's double sided porcelain keyhole curb sign from Mobil features a wonderful Pegasus on both sides. This sign also retains an original cast iron base marked "Property of Socony Vacuum Oil Company Inc." CONDITION: Side 1 shows good color and gloss in the field. There are two porcelain chips in the Pegasus graphic, as well as, a few tiny chips to the top layer of porcelain in the graphic. The outer field shows a few porcelain blemishes, the worst of which is a half-dollar sized chip on the right border. The outer edges of this sign are nicely concealed by the metal frame (8.25). Side 2 remains similarly nice with two porcelain chips in the Pegasus graphic. There are a few small isolated chips in the outer field, and one larger chip on the left hand border. The outer edges show minor porcelain chipping and oxidation, but are mostly concealed by the metal frame (8.25). The metal ring, pole, and base have been nicely repainted red at some point in the past.
