DSP. Maker Marked "Burdick Enamel Sign Co. Chicago & Balto." This C. 1930's double sided porcelain sign from Conoco Motor Oils features the iconic company colors and wonderful diecut triangular shape. CONDITION: Side 1 shows good color and shine in the field. There is diagonal spiderwebbing on the right side of the sign. The spiderwebbing begins in the second "O" of the top line word "Conoco" and extends diagonally down through "Germ Processed" to the green outer border. There are also a few scattered porcelain chips in the same area. The outer edges of the sign remain clean with only a few porcelain chips- most notably on the bottom point and the upper mounting holes (8.0). Side 2 retains good gloss and color with some light surface scuffs spread around the field. There is one porcelain chip in the field in the second "O" of "Conoco." The top left corner shows specks of discoloration in the white field. The outer edges have porcelain chips and wear, most notably on the right edge and mounting holes (8.0).
