Manufactured in 1923. Features round barrel, take down, bead sight front sight on integral base, Savage patent flat top rear sight, blue finish, brass cartridge counter, case colored lever, checkered walnut stock with pistol grip, grip cap, and Savage steel buttplate with sling swivels. Forearm has the schnabel tip. CONDITION: Very good. Receiver is a blending mix of dull blue and grey. Barrel retains about 85% blue that is also thinning. Stock shows sharp checkering with finish loss, especially at butt plate. Top of wrist looks repaired, but cracks are not visible. Forearm shows scattered finish loss and handling dings. Bore is well defined but frosted. Still shows some visible color on lever.
