Die-struck brass, oblong plate with clipped corners, 3 3/8 x 2 1/2 inches, with the device of an American eagle perched on a fieldpiece, with a blank oval above and below. Described and illustrated in Campbell & O'Donnell (2004), p. 62. PROVENANCE: Duncan Campbell Collection until 2009; purchased as lot 3490 at Bonhams sale of Campbell Coll., 2 JUN 2009. CONDITION: Very good to excellent.
