Circa 1740. Signed on one side of box lock frame "Springer & Blair & Co.", opposite from signed "London". Both sides of flat frame are nicely engraved with classic English engraving of the period. Steel engraved trigger guard. This pistol is rare because it is not a screw barrel, which was custom for this style. Solid one-piece barrel. Engraved silver butt cap. Walnut grip, profusely inlaid in silver wire designs. The silver inlay work is fancier than normal for this time period. Back of grip inlaid in a stand of arms and left side of grip inlaid with a beautiful winged griffin. Silver oval name plate at wrist. Box lock action. Good working order.

Condition: (Excellent).

Item Dimensions: 10" L.
