Thomas Dane, Boston ca. 1750. With a pear-form body with scalloped edge, flared spout and three cast and chased pad feet. Engraved under base over mark M:T. Old repairs to spout; repairs to top and bottom of handle joins. Kane mark A(p. 363).*Surviving work by Thomas Dane is very unusual- there are just over ten pieces noted by him, one other a cream jug like this one.
