LOT OF 2: COFFRIN'S OLD WEST GALLERY L.A. HUFFMAN REPRINTS
Pair of western photos retailed by Coffrin's Old West Gallery in Miles City, Montana. They specialized in reproducing images taken by L. A. Huffman from 1878-1920. Laton Alton Huffman, commonly known as "L.A," was an American photographer of Frontier and Native American life. He is a member of the Hall of Great Westerners of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. He apprenticed under F. Jay Haynes, who was both the official photographer of the Northern Pacific Railway and of Yellowstone National Park as well as operating early transportation concessions in the park. All of these pictures were taken by L.A Huffman whose work dated from The Old West Gallery's collection of Huffman negatives is one of the largest in existence today. Each photograph is mounted in a cardboard tabletop photograph frame protected by a plastic sleeve, the reverse sides have the original Miles City gallery address. CONDITION: Very fine, no obvious scuffs or marring. each measures 8" W x 10"L.
