Lot consists of: Case (A) Original trade label "Stephen Grant", firearms maker to Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales and King of Spain; labels measures 6" x 9". This oak case is completely leather covered by the factory. Features red partitions and lining. Has one of the most unusual interior divisions that features an oak lid and 11 separate compartments. Leather has the initials "RTP" on top and has solid brass corners. Missing the straps and handle, which any good case maker could easily match. It is hard to determine the exact gun this case is for, appears to be for a rifle measuring 46" from end to end. Case (B) Canvas, leather and oak case. Trade label reads "John Blanche & Son London". Lined in red felt for a double rifle. Beautiful condition with all straps, the handle, brass hardware, tanned leather and leather trim. Beautiful 100 year old case that was well cared fore. Perfect for your vintage double rifle.
