Lot consists of (A) British Pattern 1796 officer's gorget. Convex body of 4 - 1/4" height by 3 - 1/2" wide. Gilt brass with "GR" monogram in center below a crown and surrounded with attentive branches on both sides. CONDITION: Very good, retains about 98% of its original gilt finish. (B) British East India Company Officer's gorget. Measures 4 - 1/4" by 3 - 1/2", convex face engraved with East India Company crest with 2 standing lions around a shield. CONDITION: Some traces of gilt finish in protected areas. Crest shows wear from polishing. A few scattered shallow dents. DMG
