“Pierrotte” with lady face incised “HS” with the Herm Steiner mark, very rare face with multi-stroked eyebrows, sleeping eyes, lushly painted eyelashes, closed mouth, pierced ears (tiny flake) and original mohair wig on a cloth body with cardboard torso, wearing her original costume of pink cotton with neck ruffles and hat (some soil). The second doll being a wax over papier-mâché doll restored by Mrs. Jinkins in 1972 with overall extensive repairs & a new body. Perhaps the best feature of this doll is what appears to be an original period outfit which was actually made by Ms Jinkins.
