Lot consists of: (A) Ca. 1790-1830 naval sword with dark gray patina to blade which once featured blued panels with gold washed decorations. Pleasing patina to hilt with ornate guard that depicts an anchor, ship, and other naval/military motifs. Mother of pearl grip scales with patina and a few chips. Eagle head pommel. Hilt wobbles when handled. CONDITION: Fair. (B) Circa 1790-1830 infantry officer's sword with dark gray patina to blade that features blued panels with gold washed decorations. Pleasing patina to hilt with ornate guard that depicts an eagle, palm tree topped with liberty cap, and other military motifs. Mother of pearl grip scales with patina and twisted brass wire. Knight head pommel. Hilt wobbles slightly when handled. CONDITION: Good.
