Wonderful and highly graphic, stunning and very rare set of three printer proofs in succession. On heavy cardstock and in contemporary frames under museum glass. The first one having a gold tone, marked "256-7", with leaping lion holding box of product. The second having a more reddish tone, marked "12.F", also with leaping lion holding product, with vivid colors starting to shine through. The third item is the actual proof, marked "18.C", again with the leaping lion in bright, graphic colors, stating "The Peer of them all Since 1847 / Chew or Smoke Peerless Tobacco". Blue background and reddish-gold lion with bright red accents.
