Lot consists of 3 excavated Civil War projectiles: (A) US 3" Absterdam shell. Unfired, fuze adapter in place. Brass sabot ring with clear stamping: "ABSERDAM'S / PATENT / FEB. 23. 1864.". CONDITION: Very good. Pitting to adapter, otherwise nice, even olive brown patina. Good patina and edges to sabot ring with clear lettering. (B) Hotchkiss shell. CONDITION: Fair. No sabot. Fuze adapter dented, pitting, narrow crack at nose. (C) 12-pound case shot. Bormann fuze. CONDITON: Poor. Deep pitting. 2 holes drilled in base. Fuze battered.
