Lot consists of: (A) Model 1864 cartridge box marked "S. H. Young & Co. Newark N.J". Embossed "US" on the front flap. Complete with closure straps, brass finial, sling buckles and interior tins. CONDITION: Pliable leather with tight seams and with areas of crazing and flaking. (B) Enlistedman's waist belt and buckle. The pattern 1839 buckle complete with arrow hooks and tongue, bridle leather belt retains brass keeper, illegible maker and inspector stamp. CONDITION: Leather remains supple while exhibiting crazing and slight flaking. (C) Cavalry carbine box. The outer flap, latch tab, inner flap, implement pouch with flap and tab, and belt loops and buckles are all present and secure. CONDITION: Supple leather with areas of moderate crazing. (D) Percussion cap pouch. This pattern has the integral closing tab as an extension of the outer flap. The interior flap has “S.H. Young & Co Newark N.J” stamp, outer flap with "R. White" inspectors stamp. Retains interior fleece and vent pick. Both narrow belt loops remain in place on back and are stitched and riveted. CONDITION: Leather with areas of crazing and moderate surface loss. (E) Cavalry holster for the 1860 Colt revolver. Both the latch tab and toe plug in place. The latch tab is secured with the mid-war system of a rivet and semicircle of stitching. Inspector stamp on outer flap. CONDITION: Supple leather displaying areas of crazing.
Condition: Very Good
