Lot consists of: (A) 6th plate Union soldier with gold tinted buttons house in a fantastic thermoplastic case featuring a federal monitor steaming in front of a fort with American flags waving in the breeze. (B) 9th plate ambrotype of a Union infantryman in a 9 button frock coat with hand tinted buttons and trousers. Housed in a patriotic thermoplastic case featuring a cannon, tent, cannonballs and flags. Inside mat shows an embossed drum and American flags with a banner that reads: "CONSTITUTION AND UNION". (C) 9th plate ambrotype of what is likely a militia soldier with Mexican War style forage cap. Hand tinted rose cheeks. Patriotic thermoplastic case featuring crossed flags, helmet, and Union shield. (D) 9th plate Union officer wearing an overcoat with dark felt campaign hat and gold bullion cord and brass "10" insignia. Housed in a patriotic thermoplastic case featuring a cannon, tent, cannonballs and flags. Inside mat shows an embossed drum, cannon, and American flags with a banner that reads: "THE UNION NOW AND FOREVER". (E) 9th plate ambrotype of a Union officer with coat over a 9 button frock coat. Hand tinted cool buttons and rose cheeks. Housed in a patriotic thermoplastic case featuring crossed flags, helmet, and Union shield. CONDITION: All are overall very good with only one exhibiting some solarization or wipe marks. BRM.
