Lot consists of: (A) US BUAER (Bureau of Aeronautics) Flak Vest worn by Navy and Marine Corps aircrews early in the Vietnam War. Size 44. Manufactured by L.W. Foster Sportswear Co., Inc. and dated 24 June 1957. All tags present. Zipper and snaps function properly. Named to "Cesar Caramanzana" on interior. Scattered light blemishes with evident wear. CONDITION: Good. (B) US M-53 lower torso body armor. Tag present. Zipper functions. Scattered stains and wear. CONDITION: Good. (C) Vietnamese copy of a US M-69 flak jacket by CO TRUNG BINH. Size medium. Tags present on interior. Original instruction manual present in pocket. Velcro functions properly. Scattered stains and wear. CONDITION: Good. (D) US T61-5 Titanium Nylon composite armor experimental early Vietnam War flak jacket that saw some limited use the Navy in PBR boats. Tags present on interior. Size small. Velcro functions with strong elastic. Scaled plates rattle. Scattered blemishes and wear. CONDITION: Good. (E) North Vietnamese Army body armor. NVA Transportation Corps drivers assigned to Unit 559 wore body armor in limited numbers on the Ho Chi Minh Trail in the late 1960s-early 1970s. Unmarked. Clips function. Plates present.
