LOT OF 6: US AND GERMAN WWII M1 GARAND & K98 BAYONETS AND M3 FIGHTING KNIFE.
Lot consists of: (A) US World War II M1905 16" M-1 Garand bayonet marked "WT / U.S. / 1942". Wilde Tool M-1 Garand bayonets are considered the rarest among collectors. The company only produced about 60,000 Model 1905 bayonets before being dropped from the contract. Blade measures approximately 15 - 3/4" to the guard and exhibits wear on the finish particularly toward the tip. Grip scales remain intact with tarnishing at center. Complete with its green resin-impregnated cotton duck scabbard. CONDITION: Good. (B) 10" M-1 Garand bayonet marked "A.F.H. / US / 1942". Bowie style cut blade. Scattered edge wear and oxidation at tip. Early brown grips remain intact with blemishes. Complete with its green resin-impregnated cotton duck scabbard. CONDITION: Good. (C) 10" M-1 Garand bayonet marked "U.F.H. / US / 1943". Drop point cut blade. Scattered blemishes. Light oxidation on guard. Grips remain intact with blemishes. Complete with its green resin-impregnated cotton duck scabbard. CONDITION: Good. (D) M3 fighting knife with parkerized blade marked "U.S. M3 IMPERIAL". Hidden tang configuration with stacked leather washer grip. Ordnance marked on pommel. Complete with its M8A1 scabbard with canvas hanger and leather cord. Imperial produced 854,015 units. CONDITION: Very good. (E) German World War II K98 bayonet marked "44 fzc" and numbered "120" on ricasso. Blade exhibits an earlier cleaning with muted finish. Wood grip scales are intact. Pommel exhibits scattered blemishes. Waffenamts on pommel. Repainted tan scabbard with tropical frog. Scabbard is marked "S/155G" and numbered "5877". (F) K98 bayonet marked "41asw" and numbered "2502k". Blade exhibits areas of finish loss. Wood grip scales are intact. Pommel stamped with Waffenamts. Hilt exhibits nice patina. Matching numbered scabbard with 1942 dated frog. Scabbard exhibits patina. Frog remains supple with light blemishes. CONDITION: Very good.
