Ephemera lot related to frontier firearms companies. Included is Merwin & Hulbert, Colt, Sharps, Winchester. Highlight of the lot is a letter handwritten and signed by W.W. Winchester. William Wirt Winchester (June 22, 1837 – March 7, 1881) was an American businessman and the treasurer and Vice President of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, a position he held until his death in 1881.After his death, his wife, Sarah, moved to Santa Clara Valley, California and became notable for building Llanada Villa, later known as the Winchester Mystery House.
