Extremely rare and desirable prototype holster for the Artillery Luger. Holster is constructed out of a soft pebble-grain leather. This holster is featured on page 1345 in Volume 3 of the "Pistole Parabellum" book by Gortz and Sturgess. It was manufactured in 1915 for AWM, which stands for "ARTILLERIE-WERKSTATT MUNCHEN". It is also maker marked "EUGEN HUBER / MILITAR-EFEKTEN / MUNCHEN". There is an inside pouch at the heel of the holster for a tool, and a pouch on the inside front for a cleaning rod. The back of the holster has been converted to 2 belt loops. There has also been 2 magazine pouches added to the front of the holster. This was probably done post-WWI to carry the gun without the stock. CONDITION: Leather is very supple and the stitching is tight and serviceable. You can see the stitching holes on the back of the holster. This is an extremely rare holster and would go great in any Luger collection.
