Seldom seen "Slim Jim" pattern holster for a Gold Rush era Colt 1849 Pocket Navy or similar revolver. This example was made by a premier San Francisco saddle maker and stamped "MAIN & WINCHESTER." Fantastic vine and border pattern finished piteado style gold billon thread. Lined in very soft kid leather and no doubt ordered by an affluent merchant or miner of the period. CONDITION: Very good with tight stitching and no unraveling of the bullion.
MAIN & WINCHESTER TOOLED LEATHER HOLSTER WITH CHAMOIS LINING AND BULLION EMBROIDERY.
